Vitamin Injections at Ace Of Face Aesthetics

Vitamin injections are a quick way to deliver essential nutrients directly into the muscle, bypassing the digestive system. They may help support your overall health and wellbeing, particularly if you have a diagnosed deficiency or increased nutritional needs. As a Registered Nurse Prescriber, your safety always comes first, and every injection begins with a full medical consultation to make sure treatment is suitable for you. Where appropriate, I may recommend blood tests through your GP or a private provider before treatment.

I offer Vitamin B12, Vitamin D and Biotin injections, and we’ll discuss which is most suitable for you at your consultation. Results vary depending on the individual and whether a deficiency is present. Some clients notice improvements within a few days, while for others it may take several weeks. Please note that vitamin injections aren’t a substitute for a healthy diet or medical treatment.

Vitamin Injections FAQs

Which vitamin injections do you offer?

I offer Vitamin B12, Vitamin D and Biotin (Vitamin B7) injections. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your symptoms, medical history and goals to decide which is most suitable for you.

Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal red blood cell formation, normal function of the nervous system and normal psychological function, and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. People with low B12 levels may experience symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, low mood, tingling in the hands and feet and poor concentration.

Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, normal function of the immune system, normal muscle function and normal absorption of calcium. Vitamin D deficiency is common in the UK, particularly during the autumn and winter months, due to limited sunlight.

Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and skin and to normal energy-yielding metabolism. Biotin is popular with clients looking to support healthy hair, although results vary between individuals, and it’s most beneficial where dietary intake is insufficient or a deficiency is present.

Vitamin injections bypass the digestive system and are absorbed via the muscle. This may be beneficial for some people, particularly those with absorption issues or a diagnosed deficiency.

If you have a vitamin deficiency, correcting it may help improve symptoms such as tiredness and fatigue. However, vitamin injections aren’t an instant energy boost for everyone, and results vary depending on the underlying cause of your symptoms.

Most clients describe the injection as a quick scratch. Any discomfort is usually brief, and the whole appointment takes just 15–20 minutes.

Some people notice improvements within a few days, while others may take several weeks, especially if a course of treatment is recommended.

It depends on the vitamin and your individual needs. B12 maintenance injections are usually every 8–12 weeks, Biotin is often given every 2–4 weeks as part of a course, and Vitamin D depends on your levels. Your plan will always be discussed at your consultation.

This depends on your medical history, symptoms and individual requirements. We’ll discuss the most appropriate treatment plan during your consultation.

Not always. However, if you have symptoms suggestive of a vitamin deficiency, I may recommend blood testing through your GP or a private provider to make sure you’re receiving the most appropriate treatment.

Most side effects are mild and temporary, such as tenderness, mild bruising, redness or swelling at the injection site. Rare allergic reactions will be discussed during your consultation.

No. Treatment may not be suitable if you’re allergic to any ingredient, have certain medical conditions, have an active infection, are feeling unwell, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, depending on the vitamin. A consultation is always essential to make sure treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

Before Your Appointment

To help your vitamin injection appointment run smoothly, please take a moment to read the following advice before your treatment.

  • Wear clothing that allows easy access to your upper arm, as injections are usually given into the muscle there.
  • Please let me know of any changes to your medical history, medications or health since booking, including any allergies, as these can affect which vitamin injection is suitable for you.
  • Stay well hydrated and eat as normal before your appointment, so you feel comfortable and well during your treatment.
  • If you’ve had recent blood test results for your vitamin levels, please bring them along or let me know, as they help guide your treatment plan.
  • If you have symptoms you think may be linked to a deficiency, I may recommend a blood test through your GP or a private provider before starting treatment.
  • Let me know about any supplements you’re already taking, so we can make sure your treatment plan is right for you.
  • If you have an active infection or are feeling unwell, please get in touch before your appointment, as treatment may need to be rescheduled.
  • If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, please let me know, as suitability depends on the vitamin and your individual circumstances.
  • If you’re unsure which vitamin injection is right for you, I always recommend booking a consultation first, so we can talk through your needs and create a plan together.

Most importantly, I want you to feel relaxed, reassured and in safe hands, knowing every step of your treatment has been carefully explained and tailored to you.

Aftercare Advice

Vitamin injections have very little aftercare, but the following guidance will help keep you comfortable and support your results.

  • Keep the injection site clean, and avoid touching it unnecessarily for the rest of the day.
  • Stay well hydrated after your injection. Good hydration supports your overall wellbeing and helps you feel your best.
  • Gentle arm movement may help reduce any soreness at the injection site.
  • Continue eating a healthy, balanced diet. Vitamin injections work best alongside good nutrition, not instead of it.
  • Mild tenderness at the injection site is normal and usually settles within a day or two.
  • Mild bruising, redness or slight swelling can occasionally occur and should settle on its own.
  • Results vary from person to person. Some clients notice improvements within a few days, while for others it may take several weeks.
  • Vitamin injections are often most effective as part of a recommended course, so try to keep to your agreed treatment schedule.
  • As a guide, B12 maintenance injections are usually every 8–12 weeks and Biotin every 2–4 weeks, while Vitamin D depends on your individual levels.
  • Rare allergic reactions are discussed during your consultation. If you notice any signs of a reaction, seek medical help straight away.
  • If anything worries you or you have any questions after your injection, please contact me directly. As a nurse, your safety and wellbeing always come first.

My aim is to help you feel your best, while making sure you feel supported, informed and looked after at every stage of your treatment plan.
